New exchange format
The Faculty Lounge will initially offer professors at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg the opportunity to regularly exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere and to build and maintain networks with colleagues across faculties. The idea for the MLU Faculty Lounge originated in the Personnel Development Commission (PEK), which also sees it as an instrument for integrating newly appointed faculty members. In May 2022, such an event took place as part of the Welcome Day for tenure-track professors, which left many positive impressions. Now, the Prorectorate for Personnel and Organizational Development, together with members of the PEK, want to establish the Faculty Lounge at MLU with another pilot phase. In cooperation with the Georg Forster Haus, we invite you to the international meeting center every first Wednesday of the month during the semester for an exchange of ideas. While the pilot phase will initially address professorial members of the university, the target group of administration and guests will be successively expanded, assuming a positive pilot phase. A small snack and drinks will be provided.
