Welcome and Networking Days 2024
Welcome and networking days for junior and tenure-track professors 2024
Evaluations are part of everyday life in academia. In the context of junior professorships and tenure-track professorships, evaluation procedures are even firmly established and anchored in the statutes. On May 6, 2024, this year's Welcome and Networking Day was dedicated to the topic of evaluation procedures.

After a presentation on the process and framework conditions of evaluation procedures at MLU by the speaker Rebecca Thier-Lange, there was an exchange with experienced scientists from various disciplines at MLU. They reported on how evaluation committees work, what they value and what the evaluation of an academic personality actually means. They were thus able to give the junior and tenure-track professors valuable tips for their evaluations.
This year, the Welcome and Networking Days were hosted by the University's School of Economics and Business, after having been hosted by the Faculty of Theology in the Francke Foundations in 2023 and for the first time in the Language Center's Active Learning Space in 2022. By moving between locations, the participants explore the university and get to know it better.
